Java Developer / Business Intelligence Itasca, Il 60143

*Key points: Requires strong core java. This position is on the Information strategy team, which provides apps and dashboards to engineering and networking on the status / health of the network.*
Summary: Business Intelligence will be part of Information Strategy team and will play a key role in developing tools and applications for company’s network performance and operations team.
Qualifications:
• Ability to independently expand rough project concepts into fully-fledged solutions for web portals, online data reports, or GUI applications;
• Familiarity with Business Objects, Tableau, or SSRS is a plus;
• 3+ years’ of GUI application development with Java;
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, and JavaScript;
• Knowledge of VB.Net or ASP.Net a plus;
• Knowledge of C#.Net a plus;
• Ability to administer IIS is a plus;
• Good knowledge of databases, experience with MS SQL Server or MySQL is a plus, some knowledge of SSIS, SSRS a plus;
• Understanding of software development process and practices;
• Technical education is a plus as is advanced degree in CS, EE, MIS or CIS;
• Demonstrable skill writing efficient, maintainable code;
• Experience with incorporating GIS into application/report delivery is a plus;
• Experience working with cellular network data or airline data a plus;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
