Helpdesk Analyst, Aurora, IL. 60504

Night Shift available. Hours maybe either starting at 10pm or 11pm till morning.

Salary commensurate with experience.

Summary: Client is a leading international CPG company and the business is growing rapidly.  The Helpdesk Analyst will provide a single point of contact for end-users to receive support and maintenance within the organization’s desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining and upgrading all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance. This position will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via-email) in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance where required

Essential Functions:

  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and resolve problems on a wide variety of commercial and proprietary software via telephone and on-site support.
  • Install and configure new desk phones (Avaya) and cell phones (iPhone and Blackberry)
  • Provide desktop hardware and software problem identification and resolution for all PCs and related equipment with minimal supervision.
  • Complete hardware moves and equipment replacements for all PCs, laptops and all PC related equipment.
  • Conduct follow-ups to ensure problem resolution and/or service requests are completed to user satisfaction.
  • Provide detailed documentation in the call tracking system.
  • Maintain and perform daily system backup/restoration jobs.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1 – 5 years of experience in a customer service oriented, call center environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft OS: XP/Win 7, Microsoft Office Suite, VPN & Remote Access, Network & Administration, Hardware: Desktops, laptops, PDA’s, Keyboard/Mice,      Monitors, etc., Peripherals: Printers, Scanners, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Avaya IP Office
  • Experience with Citrix and/or VM Ware a plus.
  • Microsoft Certification a plus
  • Ability to resolve issues over the phone using remote utilities.
  • Understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 1 – 2 years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
