POSITION: Java Developer – Chicago, IL.
SUMMARY: Client is an industry leader in the production of award-winning e-commerce reference sources, and digital products for the home and schools. As a key member in a Developer role, participate in the technical design, application development, and maintenance of web applications. Establish and maintain a complete understanding of the design, function, and logic of all web applications and components. Develop and maintain web applications, insuring on-time delivery of enhancements that meet business and product needs while meeting quality standards.Write and maintain automated test cases.
Technical environment: J2EE, Spring, Struts, JSP, JUnit, Javascript, Ajax, Oracle, SQL, JBOSS
QUALIFICATIONS: 4+ years full life cycle development experience in Information Technology. 2 to 5 years of Java, J2EE development experience in a web application environment. Must have working knowledge within development methodologies. Agile experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree. Strong analytical, problem-solving, conceptual skills, and must be detail oriented with outstanding presentation. Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong desire to succeed and ability to work under pressure.
